Barn Policies
Please familiarize yourself with our standard procedures and practices to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at our facility.
- Lessons must be booked in advance through our website, by phone, or in person at our facility.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
- We accept payments via credit/debit cards, cash, or online payment platforms as specified on our website.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will receive a full refund or can be rescheduled at no additional cost.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- No-shows or failure to cancel will result in the full charge of the lesson with no refunds.
- Pre-Paid Packages: Lesson packages must be used within the validity period specified at the time of purchase, similar to a gym membership. These packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Unused lessons at the end of the validity period will not be refunded or extended.
- Riders must be at least 5 years old to participate in lessons.
- For the safety of our horses and riders, we may have weight restrictions based on the available horses and equipment. Please contact us for specific details.
- All riders are required to wear an ASTM/SEI certified helmet, long pants, and closed-toe shoes with a small heel. For schooling, a nice t-shirt (no crop tops) is appropriate. Limited helmets are available if you do not have your own.
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time to allow for adequate preparation.
- Late arrivals may result in a shortened lesson as end times are fixed to accommodate subsequent bookings.
- All riders must follow the instructions of the instructor and staff at all times.
- Misconduct or failure to follow safety guidelines may result in termination of the lesson without refund.
- All riders (or their guardians if under 18) are required to sign a liability waiver before participating in any riding activities.
- Riding is a risk sport and by participating you acknowledge and accept the risks involved.
- Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled by Flying Changes Riding School due to bad weather conditions that could endanger riders or horses.
- We will notify you as soon as possible in case of weather-related changes, and no cancellation fees will be applied.

- Answer: No, you do not need to own a horse to take lessons at our center. We provide well-trained horses suitable for riders of all skill levels.

- Answer: Our standard lessons are typically one hour long. However, for our younger riders in our pony tot program lessons can range for 30 mins – 1 hour. Private lessons are 45 minutes.

- Answer: Yes, we have access to beautiful trails suitable for all levels of riders. Trail rides are a great option for our boarders and those who lease. We also offer trail rides throughout our spring/summer camp series.

These rules are intended to create a safe, efficient, and respectful environment for all patrons, staff, and animals. Please adhere to them at all times during your visit.
- Proper Riding Attire: Safety and professionalism are key in our riding areas. All riders are required to wear ASTM/SEI certified helmets, long pants, and closed-toe shoes with a small heel. For schooling, a nice t-shirt (no crop tops) is appropriate.
- Follow Safety Guidelines: Helmets must be worn by all riders while mounted. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing at all times in the barn and riding areas.
- Keep Areas Clean: Clean up after yourself and your horse. This includes sweeping up hay, disposing of trash in designated bins, and returning all equipment to its proper place.
- No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in the barn, in all indoor facilities, and near the riding areas.
- Quiet and Calm: Maintain a quiet and calm demeanor around the horses to avoid startling them. Loud noises and sudden movements can cause accidents.
- No Dogs Allowed: To ensure the safety and comfort of our barn animals, dogs are not permitted on the premises.
- Report Issues Promptly: If you notice any safety hazards, ill or injured horses, or broken equipment, please report them to barn staff immediately.
- Gate Policy: Always close and latch gates behind you to ensure horses do not escape or enter unauthorized areas.
- Parking: Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Do not block driveways or access to barn doors.
- Alcohol and Drugs: The use of alcohol or illicit drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises. Anyone under the influence will be asked to leave.
